Bryan Cumming in Studio 23
Known around Nashville for his versatility on a variety of instruments, Bryan uses his experience in performing, writing, composing, arranging, and producing to provide fresh ideas along with technical expertise. His years in L.A. included touring and recording with artists such as Martin Mull, Al Jarreau, Maria Muldaur, Anne Murray, David Soul, Al Kooper, Pia Zadora, The Ohio Players, The Pointer Sisters, and Billy Vera and the Beaters (including playing on their #1 single "At This Moment"). Bryan also played lead guitar with ShaNaNa for four years. With Jason Blume, he co-wrote "I Had A Heart," which in 1987 hit #2 on the Cashbox Independent Country singles chart.
Bryan moved from L.A. to Nashville in 1988 and began touring with K. T. Oslin, Cleve Francis, and Wild About Harry. In 2003 he composed the original score for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival production of "Romeo and Juliet." In 2004, Bryan released a solo CD, "A Song Is A Dangerous Thing," a collection of original songs ranging in style from country, blues, and pop to swing and smooth jazz.
For over a quarter of a century, Bryan has been supporting other people's artistry through Studio 23 Nashville. "We offer DEMO SERVICE, using Digital Performer recording software on a MacIntosh G4 for songwriter demos from simple guitar and vocal tracks to full band productions. We produce master quality CD production for INDEPENDENT RELEASE. We can handle most any CUSTOM PROJECT, including commercials, sound effects, and original scores for TV and radio.
