Here is a small sampling of our clients, along with some comments about Studio 23 Nashville:

Les Kerr & the Bayou Band offer up a unique musical perspective, what Les calls "Hillbilly Blues Caribbean Rock & Roll."Les is an accomplished singer & songwriter who plays all across the Southeast.  He has recorded his last 4 albums at Studio 23 Nashville.  Amy Kurland, owner of the world-famous Bluebird Cafe, says of Les' latest, Crawfish Caravan: "I love Les Kerr. He¹s multi-talented, a great songwriter and artist.  The album is fun and real, and sounds like a great party."  Country Music Hall of Fame member Gordon Stoker of The Jordanaires said this about the CD: “I really enjoyed it.  The music is good on every song throughout the whole album."

California songwriter Lanny Sherwin's three-year-old son inspired him to write the 10 songs on the first "Dream With Me Tonight" recording.  Lanny brought Asylum recording artist Melodie Crittenden to Studio 23 Nashville to create a project that earned 8 awards, including a "Top Toy of 2004" award.
The second Dream With Me Tonight recording garnered 7 awards for excellence, including a Parents Choice Foundation Award, an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award, and Creative Child Magazine's "Seal of Excellence."

Lanny Sherwin and Bryan Cumming co-produced the Turn Up the Music CD.  It has already won an iParenting Media Award calling it "fun & funky, savvy & silly, all-around great songs for children age 5-9 and their parents."

Here's what Lanny Sherwin has to say about Bryan Cumming & Studio 23 Nashville:
"When I describe you, my partner in rhyme, as one who (1) owns the studio, (2) engineers the sessions, (3) plays multiple instruments, (4) sings, (5) has perfect pitch, (6) knows what I want before even I do, (7) mixes, (8) liberally, and without editorial opinion, applies available technology, (9) supplies encouragement, guidance, AND fig newtons ... my California friends can't believe my good fortune in having such a talent, a resource, and a pal."

Laura Powers' "Legends of the Goddess" series features musical themes based on the Celtic Goddess of ancient myth.  Her fascination with Celtic myth combined with her musical talent to create this trilogy. The music, enhanced by instruments such as tin whistle & Irish flute, melds with the lyrical imagery and her oil paintings to present a timeless collection of music and art.

Folk artist Alan Ross is known around the world.  Scot Radio says this about "Scottish Influence," recorded at Studio 23 Nashville: "Our heritage is alive and well in America."  And Noel Diotte of  Coverunner Radio says: "I absolutely love Scottish Influence.  The instrumentation and production is so rich; the hand drums and even the big electric guitar blends in with the acoustic instruments."

Kathy Johnson performs American acoustic music, including her own remarkable originals and an entertaining mix of folk music, cowboy songs, old country songs, and music from the 20's, 30's and 40's. This engaging redhead's voice is appealing and unique, and her performances are marked by interesting material and commentary, her straightforward style, and a sense of fun.
